South Korea’s online economy reaches $56 bn in size

South Korea’s online economy recorded approximately 63 trillion won ($56 billion) in size. The ratio of online economy in Korea’s entire GDP posted 5.94 percent, which is higher ratio than Korea’s electric and electronics manufacturing industry (5.71 percent) and the automobile industry.

The Korea Internet Corporations Association (Kinternet) revealed its research result with Sogang University’s Research Institute of Market Economy (SGRIME) at a press conference Monday in Seoul.
